Leipzig, July 1, 2026. After more than 25 memorable years, it’s time to say goodbye to Marco Girnth and, at the same time, welcome: Simon Böer (DER LEHRER, HERZENSBRECHER, SOKO WISMAR) joins the SOKO LEIPZIG team as Chief Inspector Dirk Trebbe. Together with Melanie Marschke, Amy Mußul, and Johannes Hendrik Langer, he will investigate and solve exciting cases in Leipzig and the surrounding area.

His character, Dirk Trebbe, not only brings criminal investigation experience to the table but also impresses with his great human depth. This is exactly what makes him such a special addition to the SOKO team and opens up new narrative possibilities. We’re really looking forward to exciting stories and new dynamics within the ensemble.”

Dirk Trebbe is an experienced investigator who works calmly and attentively, examining cases closely while never losing sight of the human element. Shaped by his humble upbringing, he combines a consistent approach with a keen sense of others’ weaknesses and needs.

SOKO LEIPZIG is Germany’s only primetime SOKO series and celebrated its 25th anniversary in January 2026. The 27th season is currently being filmed and will premiere in the fall of 2026 with the arrival of a new detective.

Another highlight will take place this year as part of the Leipzig Film Nights. On August 7, 2026, three episodes of *SOKO LEIPZIG* will be shown on the big screen. Among them is an exclusive screening of the episode “Letzte Umarmung” from Season 27, featuring Simon Böer as the new Inspector Dirk Trebbe, ahead of its TV broadcast. Also being shown will be the episode “Bombenspiel” from Season 1, as well as the episode “Lucky,” which was selected by the community via social media.

Guests at the SOKO Film Night in Leipzig have a special treat in store: the main cast of Season 27 will be there in person.
