Double the joy for UFA: Two of its productions have been nominated for this year’s German Television Award. The hit ARD quiz show *WER WEISS DENN SOWAS?* is in the running in the “Best Entertainment Show” category, while the second season of *MAXTON HALL – DIE WELT ZWISCHEN UNS* is nominated in the “Best Drama Series” category.

The German Television Award is considered one of the most important honors for outstanding achievements in German television and streaming and will be presented for the 27th time on September 9, 2026, in Cologne. An independent panel of experts selects the winners.

“WHO KNOWS THAT?” has been nominated in the “Best Entertainment Show” category

For more than a decade, *WER WEISS DENN SOWAS?* has been delighting viewers with a unique blend of trivia, humor, and celebrity guests. Host Kai Pflaume guides viewers through the trivia game show produced by UFA Show & Factual, in which Bernhard Hoëcker and Wotan Wilke Möhring, together with a rotating cast of celebrity guests, get to the bottom of the most unusual questions from the worlds of science, everyday life, technology, and nature. The answers are presented in elaborately produced video segments or through experiments in the studio, making even complex concepts easy to understand.

The game show premiered on July 6, 2015, on Das Erste and has been a staple of ARD’s early evening lineup ever since. The 12th season continued the show’s success story: With an average market share of 20.6 percent, the show achieved its highest rating to date.

MAXTON HALL – THE WORLD BETWEEN US has been nominated in the “Best Drama Series” category

Following the global success of its first season in 2024, the Prime series *MAXTON HALL – THE WORLD BETWEEN US*, produced by UFA Fiction, also reached an audience of millions with its second season last year. The second season cemented its status as a global hit—the most-watched international original series of all time on Prime Video—and reached number one on the Prime Video charts in nearly 100 countries during its debut week, including Germany, the U.S., and the U.K. With the third season of MAXTON HALL – THE WORLD BETWEEN US, the series—once again starring Harriet Herbig-Matten and Damian Hardung in the lead roles—heads toward its grand, emotional finale, centering on the love story between Ruby and James. The six episodes will be available exclusively on Prime Video starting in December 2026.
