Potsdam, 13. May 2025. The UFA Fiction series prequel *MISS SOPHIE – SAME PROCEDURE AS EVERY YEAR*, previously known by the working title *DINNER FOR FIVE*, will premiere at this year’s Munich Film Festival.
“The same procedure as every year, James!”—For millions of people, the cult sketch *Dinner for One* is an integral part of their annual New Year’s Eve ritual. It’s high time to ask who Mr. Pommeroy, Mr. Winterbottom, Sir Toby, and Von Schneider actually are—and why they aren’t sitting at the table. And what kind of relationship do Miss Sophie and her butler James have? Now it’s time to clear the stage for the previously untold, romantic, comedic, and adventurous prequel to the sketch. The six episodes of the series prequel will premiere worldwide on Prime Video at the end of the year.
About MISS SOPHIE – SAME PROCEDURE AS EVERY YEAR: Finally, the long-awaited prequel to the cult sketch *Dinner for One*: England, early 20th century—a country estate near Eastbourne. Always by her side is her butler James (Kostja Ullmann)—and a tender, yet seemingly impossible romance begins to blossom…
