UFA SHOW & FACTUAL is developing a new reality show, *MAISON TABOU*, for RTLzwei

Cologne, July 2, 2026. With MAISON TABOU, UFA Show & Factual, in collaboration with RTLzwei, is making a bold new statement in the reality genre. The show deliberately breaks with familiar dating conventions and, from the very beginning, focuses on topics that are rarely discussed openly: physical attraction, fantasy, and desire.

For UFA Show & Factual, this project is unusual even off-screen: for the first time, the company is retaining the rights to its own IP—a deliberate move in the area of new business. In collaboration with the adult entertainment brand Orion, MAISON TABOU is evolving into more than just a TV show: the plan is to create a standalone brand universe featuring high-quality products and its own line of sex toys under the “Maison Tabou” label.

The show “MAISON TABOU”: Sex First, Love Later

MAISON TABOU works differently from traditional dating platforms—right from the very first second. It doesn’t start with typical conversations or a cautious getting-to-know-you phase. It starts with a night together.

At “Maison Tabou,” a place deliberately removed from everyday life, participants shed their usual identities. Masks, roles, unique settings: What emerges here are intense encounters in which the line between performance and genuine emotion becomes increasingly blurred. The question of whether sexual tension will turn into genuine desire is answered on this first night.

The morning after is when things get exciting. The participants meet for the first time without their roles, without their costumes, without the atmosphere—using their real names, in everyday clothes, in daylight. What remains once the excitement of the previous night has faded?

A Format as a Brand

In collaboration with RTLzwei and Orion, MAISON TABOU will be developed as a standalone brand beyond the TV show. In addition to the broadcast, merchandise and a dedicated, high-quality product line will be created—with the goal of bringing the world of MAISON TABOU to life even off-screen.

MAISON TABOU is a production developed by UFA Show & Factual in collaboration with RTLzwei and Orion. The broadcast and launch of the product line are scheduled for fall 2026.
