Film management

The film management (FGF) is responsible for the financial and accounting management of film and television productions and ensures that the financial accounting and payroll accounting are correct under tax and social security and wage tax law. The film management assistant (FGF Assistenz) supports these tasks and takes over, for example, project and accounts payable accounting as well as cash management.

Do you already have commercial training or perhaps even a little experience in accounting? Then we can prepare you for your next career step in the media industry with our further training program.

Course of the training:

At the beginning, together with the trainees from the other departments, we will give you a theoretical introduction to the industry, UFA and its units as well as your specialist area. The subsequent practical assignments in at least three different productions and units will give you the opportunity to get to know and actively try out all the tasks involved in film management.

You will be successively trained in the individual tasks of the film management assistant in order to take on tasks yourself in the near future. The tasks mainly include project accounting, which implies accounts payable and cash management. You should be familiar with preparatory accounting (incl. payroll preparation) as well as payment transactions and the proper filing of all receipts. Later on, we will also introduce you to payroll accounting and social security issues, among other things.

We will provide you with a solid foundation for your induction with further training opportunities and will deploy you in various teams to fill your treasure chest of experience as fully as possible before you take on sole responsibility.

Aim of the training:

The fun stops with money. Not when working in film management at UFA. At the same time, you need someone who can take responsibility for smooth billing, correct checking, account assignment and recording of payments, keeping an eye on accounts, and so on. There are many exceptions that make working for us interesting.

We want to prepare you in the best possible way so that you can work independently in the FGF area after completing your training.

We will be happy to answer any further questions in the FAQ.
