In the production management department, shooting motifs are sought out, contracts are signed, the shoot itself and locations are organized, the shooting schedule is drawn up, the crew is motivated and kept together.

We are looking for good-humoured early risers who see themselves as eloquent team players with leadership skills, who like to have several balls in the air at the same time and still laugh, who are good at dealing with ‘time on their neck’ and can act convincingly with appreciation.

Course of the training:

At the beginning, together with the trainees from the other departments, we will introduce you to the industry, the UFA and its units as well as your department. The subsequent practical assignments in at least three different productions and units will give you the opportunity to get to know and actively try out all tasks and functions in the field of production management.

Over the course of the two years, you will be assigned to various positions in the production management to find the job that suits your personality. You will get to know the set work from supervising the so-called base camp, supporting the motif/set production manager as a set runner, assisting the first production manager with all tasks, learning how to organize a shooting schedule and administrative aspects and will also take on responsibility on set yourself. At the same time, you will learn about the differences in this area within various fictional formats.

Aim of the training:

Together and with a clear view, things are always better and that’s exactly what your job will be: keeping the crew together with one eye on the clock, pulling all the strings and at the same time not losing sight of all the financial and organizational aspects – we want to teach you all that. Let yourself be inspired by the organization of a film, television or show production and learn all the tasks of various positions so that you can start a new professional field with passion after completing your training.
