Berlin, May 13, 2026: To mark his 20th anniversary as an author, bestselling author Sebastian Fitzek is taking on a guest role in the RTL series GUTE ZEITEN, SCHLECHTE ZEITEN – shortly before his big live show at Berlin’s Waldbühne in August.

Filming took place on May 12 at the GZSZ studios of UFA Serial Drama in Potsdam-Babelsberg. It is Fitzek’s first role in a daily series format. During the shoot, he said: “It was exciting to switch sides and become part of a GZSZ story myself. The atmosphere on set was great and I was impressed by the passion with which gripping stories are told here every day and implemented by the whole team.”

The thriller author will be part of a still secret storyline about Jo Gerner (Wolfgang Bahro), his daughter Matilda (Anna-Katharina Fecher) and his ex-partner Yvonne (Gisa Zach). The exact role he plays will remain under wraps until the show airs on RTL+ and RTL in July.

Fitzek’s appearance on GZSZ is also the prelude to a special highlight of his anniversary: On August 7 and 8, Sebastian Fitzek will bring his anniversary show live to the Waldbühne Berlin.

GUTE ZEITEN, SCHLECHTE ZEITEN is a production of UFA Serial Drama for RTL. Katja Bäuerle is the producer. Line producer is Christina Vogel-Froehlich. Co-producers are Katrin Birkner, Christine Melzer and Christian Schönfeld.
