Whit Monday is once again the date for love: Germany’s most popular TV romance starts a new round on RTL and brings fresh feelings to the farms on May 25 at 7:05 pm. Presenter Inka Bause introduces 18 new farmers from all over Germany who have the courage to take their happiness into their own hands and find true love.

Andi, Melina and Björn, who – together with 15 other singles from the countryside – give an insight into their lives in the introductory round, will kick off BAUER SUCHT FRAU – DIE NEUEN BAUERN. Between the barn, the farm and the open countryside, they all embark on a very personal adventure that will hopefully lead them to true love in the coming months.

Andi (30)

Region: Baden-Württemberg, Swabian Alb
Farm: suckler cow husbandry: 25 ha grassland and fruit trees 50 Charolais cattle & calves, 8 dwarf goats

Andi lives in the Swabian Alb. The 30-year-old runs a suckler cow farm as a sideline. He also grows cherries, apples and pears. In addition to his 50 Charolais cattle, he looks after 8 dwarf goats. Animal welfare is particularly important to Andi: “The animals give you back exactly what you give them. They’re not judgmental, they’re just there and reflect how you feel about them as a person. That’s something really beautiful.”

The 1.83 meter tall Swabian goes to the gym several times a week and also likes to ride his motorcycle in summer, while in winter he regularly jumps on his snowboard.

Andi has been single for over a year and wants an active woman who is honest, open and adventurous. “For me, it would be priceless to have someone by my side who loves me unconditionally.” Andi would also like to have children, ideally a boy and a girl.

Melina (22)

Region: Hesse, Ederbergland
Farm: Horse trainer: 7ha meadow, forest & land, 4 horses, 1 donkey, 3 dogs, 2 cats, 4 rabbits

Horse trainer Melina lives on her parents’ farm in Hesse. The 22-year-old is currently training as an office management assistant. In the family business, she mainly looks after the horses. Animal welfare also means a lot to her: “I am proud that we have rescued many animals from animal welfare and can offer them a new home and prospects.” Of course, Melina is passionate about horse riding and would love to share this hobby with a partner. She also dances afro and hip-hop.

The 1.64-metre tall Hessian has been single for a year and knows what she wants: “Even though I’m young, I still know that I want a committed relationship. I want someone I can build my future with.” She is looking for a man who is sporty, has a good sense of humor and is also adventurous. “I’ve had enough of being single, I’d just like to arrive.”

Björn (49)

Region: Hesse, Vogelsbergkreis
Farm: fattening cattle farming: 38 ha arable land and grassland, 65 fattening cattle, 4 fattening pigs, 1 dog, 1 cat, 35 chickens, 1 rooster

Farmer Björn is the fourth generation to run his farm in the Vogelsberg district. Here, he mainly looks after his 65 cattle. The 1.89-metre-tall Hessian works full-time as a warehouse clerk and truck driver. “The farm means a lot to me, I took it over from my parents and grandparents. And that’s why I’m carrying on my parents’ legacy.”

Björn’s days start early and are filled with stable work, field work and organization. He particularly appreciates the freedom and versatility of his job and his independent life.
Björn has been single for 14 years and would like to be able to share his life with someone again. He is looking forward to finding a partner with whom he can share his everyday life, but also enjoy beautiful moments, such as cooking and eating together. “I want a down-to-earth woman with a heart who will fill my house with life again.”
