The UFA Diversity Circle welcomes a new mentor. Tobias Hött, Head of Casting at UFA Show & Factual, will be in charge of the LGBTIQ+ area in future. His predecessor Markus Schroth will devote himself to other projects in the future, but will remain connected to the network.

Tobias Hött: “I am delighted to be Markus’ successor in the Diversity Circle and to be the new mentor for LGBTIQ+! The Diversity Circle does very important work and has recently shown with the study on on-screen diversity what challenges still lie ahead of us. I am really looking forward to this and Johanna, Jeannette, Juliana and I already have ideas on how we will continue this task. In addition to the sponsorship for LGBTIQ+, I am also taking over the role of contact person at UFA for the Bertelsmann employee network be.queer from Markus. I would like to thank Markus for his trust in me, allowing me to take on the topics that he has driven forward with so much passion and energy.”

Markus Schroth: “After 5 great years as a sponsor for the LGBTIQ+ area as part of the UFA Diversity Circle and a member of the core team of the Bertelsmann employee network be.queer, I am now handing over my work to Tobias Hött and placing one of my favorite topics in trustworthy hands. For 5 years, I was able to develop, support and establish many diversity topics together with wonderfully committed colleagues. Of course, I will continue to support the be.queer employee network and the UFA Diversity Circle.”

The UFA Diversity Circle was founded in October 2020 to promote diversity, equity and inclusion at UFA. It bundles, coordinates and discusses the various prioritization of topics in close consultation with the management and sets agendas.
