Arabella Kiesbauer is also looking for love again this year. On May 30, 2018, she presented the new farmers on ATV. New this year is that two candidates, Johanna and Lara, are also presenting themselves to the male world. No mountain is too high for her, no valley too narrow – she fights her way through to the farmers and finds herself on magnificent farms, beautiful alpine pastures and even an agricultural leisure park. In BAUER SUCHT FRAU, Arabella not only presents farmers in search of love, but also the most beautiful spots in Austria and South Tyrol.
Whether shy or adventurous, secretive or cheeky, traditional or modern – farmers are open to love and are looking for a partner for the future. Most of them are also looking to start a family and walk down the aisle.
And the fact that the characters are so different is also the secret of the show’s success, as Arabella reveals: “BAUER SUCHT FRAU is still successful in season 15 because love is constantly writing new stories and has no expiration date.
Arabella Kiesbauer has a special renewal in the 14th season of BAUER SUCHT FRAU, the “Stadtmadln”! This time, two women from the city want to be conquered by a farmer and perhaps soon say goodbye to the hustle and bustle of the city.
The love stories from the courts will be told until December 20, and after the Christmas break there will be three episodes looking back from January 3. Where has love lasted, how many couples have Arabella and Amor produced this season?
More than ever and crisper than ever! Arabella Kiesbauer introduces the candidates of the 13th season this Wednesday and next Wednesday in BAUER SUCHT FRAU – DIE NEUEN BAUERN. 15 farmers, more than ever before, are looking for love in the new episodes. And not only that, the trend is continuing – since Arabella took over the format, more and more young farmers are getting in front of the camera. This time, nine contestants are under 30. Fresh-faced farmers can be seen on ATV on June 1 and 8!
In the two introduction episodes, Arabella Kiesbauer presents the single farmers: four candidates each come from Upper Austria and Styria, Salzburg, Lower Austria and Carinthia have two farmers, Tyrol is represented once. The ladies in the round come from Styria and Upper Austria. Friends Georg and Stefan also come from the latter province and are on the hunt for women together. They range from the laid-back bon vivant Lorenz, who lives on a lonely mountain pasture, to the innovative herb farmer Simon, who has converted his parents’ business and is now doing well with teas and herbs. And 21-year-old Tina, the youngest alpaca breeder in Europe, is also on board.
On September 2, Arabella Kiesbauer started the hot phase of the 12th season of BAUER SUCHT FRAU on ATV.
Eleven farmers want to fall in love in this season and have a partner by their side from now on.
In order to be able to give the farmers their applications in person, she invited all eleven farmers from this season to the beautiful Salzkammergut region to the rustic Rathlucken hut in Bad Goisern. There they got to know each other and received their love letters at the same time. A total of around 950 singles applied for the farmers, the girls Gabi and Maria each received 120 letters, young farmer Roman received the most mail with 350 applications. That’s why he was allowed to choose five ladies instead of three applicants, as was the case with the other farmers. The lords of creation also cast an eye over Gabi and Maria and many would be happy if the cheerful ladies moved onto his farm. But that doesn’t happen, as they are looking forward to their farm weeks themselves.
Arabella Kiesbauer will present the farm weeks on BAUER SUCHT FRAU from September 3, 2014 and will start the 11th season with an innovation: for the first time, all farmers will receive their applications together. This means that all 13 love seekers of this season can be seen in the first episode when they select the farm ladies and gentlemen. FARMER SEEKS WIFE will entertain ATV audiences with the farm weeks until the end of the year, and the four final episodes will then traditionally be shown in January.
In the spring, Arabella Kiesbauer introduced the new farmers who, with her help, are on the hunt for true happiness in love this season. With Bianca and Katrin, there are also two female farmers at the start. The new farmers were very well received: a total of 800 candidates applied for them. To hand over the love letters, the presenter invites the 13 farmers to the Juwel Alm in Saalbach-Hinterglemm, where she not only gives them the letters in a convivial atmosphere, but also provides advice and support in selecting the candidates.
From September 3, Austrian broadcaster ATV will be showing who gives their heart and what the farmers experience with their heart-ladies and -boys during the farm weeks every Wednesday at 8:15 pm.
The Austrian version of the TV romance BAUER SUCHT FRAU is produced by UFA SHOW & FACTUAL on behalf of ATV and is already in its 11th season this year.

From May 15, 2013, Katrin Lampe will be presenting Austria’s most successful matchmaking show for the 10th time: BAUER SUCHT FRAU. It’s time for big feelings, 13 country singles will once again embark on the search for true love.

With sheep farmer Anita and open horse lover Katharina from Styria, two farmers’ wives are once again taking part in this year’s successful prime time show.
In addition, the likeable professional beekeeper Eberhard proves that farmers don’t necessarily need wellies for their work and the balanced mountain farmer Stefan proves that there are also fashion-conscious men high up in the mountains.
ATV is particularly pleased to accompany the fun-loving donkey breeder Augustin on his search for his dream woman. And if the charismatic Upper Austrian is as agile as his animals, you can expect a lot from his flirting attempts – after all, the 23-year-old claims to have the fastest donkeys in Austria.
Charly is at home in Tyrol. The sensitive mountain farmer has a strong romantic streak and is looking for a partner with whom he can start a family. A later marriage is not out of the question for the trained chef, but it is much more important for him to find a steady partner in the first place, as the 48-year-old has been single his whole life.
It’s usually not only easier but also more fun with two people. And our very special duo knows this too. The fun-loving duo Manuel and Christian (35) from the Styrian Enns Valley have been one heart and one soul for years and the two farm boys only exist in a double pack. Farm owner Manuel is far too often absorbed in his work and is usually too shy when it comes to finding a woman. Friend and goat farmer Christian has fewer worries, but after many disappointments he is also still looking for the right partner. The two farmers have one problem in common – no lady wants to get involved in farm life. A clear case for BAUER SUCHT FRAU!
Time for big feelings! From May 16, 2012, 20:15, Katrin Lampe presents the 9th season of Austria’s most successful matchmaking show BAUER SUCHT FRAU.

The smart Styrian winemaker Stefanie can expect a veritable flood of applications, as she not only cuts a fine figure in her own wine tavern, but also graces the young female winemaker calendar for 2012! With winemaker Stefanie and spiritual farmer Sandra from Upper Austria, two female farmers are on the hunt for men.

And with the cheerful horse breeder Nadja from Styria, a farmer’s wife is once again part of the party. The fruit farmer, cowboy and blacksmith are not the only ones looking for true love – cattle breeder René is also waiting for true happiness. The Styrian is dependent on a wheelchair after a motorcycle accident, but he still manages his large farm all by himself. In addition to our twelve farmers, forest spirit Fritz is also back and it remains to be seen whether the rustic Lunzer will perhaps find happiness after all.
BAUER SUCHT FRAU enters its 6th season. No fewer than 12 singles from the countryside are looking for the love of their lives. And with the pretty horse lover Verena and the single Tyrolean Monika, two farmers’ wives are also taking part this time. But that’s not all: there’s also a very special duo: farmer and farmhand. Johannes and Peter have been inseparable best friends for many years now, through thick and thin. So it’s only natural that they should start looking for a partner together.
BAUER SUCHT FRAU is entering its 5th season and for the first time, 11 singles from the countryside are on the hunt for love.
This time, the motto of BAUER SUCHT FRAU is: “Everything is easier for two”. But it’s usually not only easier, but also more fun, with two people. And our two special couples, such as the Styrian brothers Moritz and Augustin or the father-son duo Hannes and Martin from Salzburg, know this too.
BAUER SUCHT FRAU enters its 4th season. In three successful seasons, 29 men and one farmer’s wife have already made their way to happiness.
And viewers’ interest in the Landsingles has continued to grow! This year, a particularly large number of single farmers have applied. But BAUER SUCHT FRAU also appealed to other professional groups. Like Günther the country innkeeper from Lake Wörthersee. In his opinion, country innkeepers have the same difficulties as farmers in getting to know the right person. In season 4, it’s not just farmers but also millers, carpenters and innkeepers who go in search of love.
The search for the love of a lifetime for Austria’s single farmers is entering a new round. And once again there is something for everyone – from sporty late risers to shy beekeepers. Of course, Cupid’s right-hand woman will be there again: Katrin Lampe.
This season ran from August 30, 2006 to May 2, 2007.
BAUER SUCHT FRAU enters its second round with lots of love-hungry farmers. With the help of Katrin Lampe, 10 Austrian single farmers set off in search of the love of their lives. Austria’s number 1 dating documentary accompanies the selected women and men to the farms of our 10 farmers.
This season ran from March 5, 2006 to July 15, 2006.
Ten farmers in search of happiness and love for life. After the presentation in July 2005, hundreds of applications came in. All of them wanted to go to the farm of the single farmers to win their hearts. Some of the farmers couldn’t make up their minds, which is why the first big date took place last week in Kitzbühel. Alexander, Michael, Hermann, Leo and Markus chose their two favorites from three women. The docu-soap part of BAUER SUCHT FRAU starts on Wednesday at 8:15 pm. Excited and full of tension, the final preparations are made on the farms and expectations are high on both sides.
The first season began on September 21, 2005.
