Region: Tabanan / Bali, Indonesia
Farm: Horse farm
Hobbies: horse riding, being out in nature, motorcycle tours

Carmen comes from Orsingen. She first visited Bali in 2003 when her group of friends spontaneously invited her there. It was then that she fell in love with the country and after a few years of commuting back and forth, she finally emigrated to Indonesia 18 years ago. She already had a very special relationship with horses as a child, as her parents bred the animals. She has now been running her small ranch for a year.

Carmen describes herself as a positive, tolerant, spiritual person. She loves to be out and about in nature and enjoys discovering new corners of Bali. She is adventurous and determined. Carmen has been married twice before. The first marriage ended in divorce 15 years ago (2009). Carmen’s first daughter is from this marriage. She met her second husband in Indonesia and has a son (14) and another daughter (10) with him. She has been divorced from him since 2014 and has been single for three years. Fence post by fence post, she then built her lifelong dream of having her own sanctuary for farm animals, where today around 90 animals are allowed to spend their twilight years. Iris finances her farm through donations.

Iris is an honest, helpful and compassionate person who helps others wherever she can. She is very passionate and loving, especially when it comes to her animals. Unfortunately, she is sometimes a bit chaotic and has trouble saying no.

When his free time allows, the native Swabian also likes to take part in horse competitions or go line dancing, for which he still lacks the right partner. Tom has been divorced for almost 30 years and has been single for four years. The father of two grown-up children is missing the person “who completes his life”. In South Africa, in the middle of the Drakensberg mountains, coffee farmer Werner is making the final preparations for the arrival of his two ladies-in-waiting. And as there is still a lot to do beforehand, the 64-year-old has unceremoniously assigned his son Jens as his chauffeur to pick up the ladies from the airport. After a flight of over ten hours, Karin and Conny have finally reached South Africa in Johannesburg, but they are still a long way from their destination. It’s another six hours’ drive to the farm.

In Mexico, vegetable and mushroom farmer Calina also wants to include her 15-year-old son Cielo in her search for a partner, as the 43-year-old puts her children first in her life. Farm: Fruit and arable farming with pears, corn and soy; Christoph’s brother also keeps four donkeys and two calves
Hobbies: Trips to riding competitions, fishing, parties

Born in South Tyrol, Christoph is a true country boy. The sensitive fruit farmer has taken over the family farm in Italy together with his brother and cannot imagine life without farming. In his free time, the 30-year-old young farmer enjoys going to horse races, fishing and partying with his friends. So far, Christoph has not been able to find the love of his life, but he hopes that the time has finally come and he will find “the woman of his life”. After all, the devout Christian wants one thing with all his heart – to start a family!

Vivien, known as Viv, packed her bags with her then boyfriend in 2005 and emigrated to her dream country of Australia. Here, the humorous 38-year-old now runs a poultry farm, where she is probably the craziest chicken. However, Viv is only on her farm at weekends – during the week, the Australian lives in Brisbane and works for a charity there. The likeable farmer always wears her heart on her sleeve, which unfortunately hasn’t brought her any luck in love with Australian men so far. Since March 2018, the loving chicken farmer has been going through life alone and wants a strong partner by her side, as “life is much nicer as a couple”.

After returning from Germany, Gerhard fulfilled his dream of owning a farm in Africa. On his idyllic 130-hectare farm, he not only raises livestock from local breeds of sheep, goats and cattle, but has also built an impressive music venue. Out of love for nature, the prudent livestock farmer pays particular attention to sustainability and avoids drastic changes to the landscape. From the hill behind his house, you can look out over the panorama of an almost untouched and breathtaking savannah in the light of the African sun. But even though the farm and his music keep him busy, Gerhard is still looking for a woman who wants to share not only his love of the land, but also his life.

Surrounded by lush jungle and exotic fruits, the focus here is on sustainability, conserving resources and appreciating the landscape. Farm: farm with 25 horses, three mules, four donkeys, eight pigs, three cows, two oxen, sheep, goats and 30 laying hens
Hobbies: Emanuel takes time out by driving to nearby Graz and going to the theater or cinema there

Emanuel is the Robin Hood of farmers. He rushes to the aid of animals in need and gives them a new home at his “Edelweiss” farm. He cares for their welfare with every fiber of his heart and makes them the top priority in his life. “Love goes through the stomach” has a very special meaning for the convinced vegan: “If you love animals, you don’t eat them.” But nobody has to go hungry with the former restaurateur. The charming Swiss chef is a magician in the kitchen and loves to serve up animal-free meals. For the direct Emanuel, one thing is clear – if you want to win his heart, you have to get in line behind his beloved four-legged friends. Can his ladies-in-waiting live with that?

Region: Hardap, Namibia
Farm: Self-sufficient farm with four cows and 70 goats

As a “retired farmer”, it’s hard for Siegfried, known as Sigi, to lose his cool. With the help of his housekeeper and his worker, the sprightly pensioner slowly brings the 1300-hectare farm, which he has only owned for a few months, closer to his expectations: he keeps or grows what he needs. Surrounded by dry land on the edge of the Kalahari Desert, Sigi’s farm is like an oasis. In addition to a well-tended garden, the pool offers a refreshing dip on hot days, while the jacuzzi provides warm and cozy relaxation on balmy evenings. With this image of his farm in mind, Sigi is looking for a woman who shares his motto of life: “A sorrow shared is a sorrow halved. A joy shared is a joy doubled.”

Daniel wants a lively, funny partner with whom he can share his everyday life and his love of nature.
