“Dina Foxx – Tödlicher Kontakt” is a transmedia production by UFA FICTION and UFA LAB on behalf of ZDF/Das kleine Fernsehspiel and ZDF/Hauptredaktion Neue Medien.
As with “Who will save Dina Foxx?”, Max Zeitler is responsible for directing and concept coordination. Producers are Jochen Laube and Leif Alexis (TV / web series) and Kristian Costa-Zahn (online). The editors at ZDF are Burkhard Althoff and Milena Bonse. The technical implementation is carried out by the digital agency Exozet.
Dina Foxx is overjoyed when she sees her brother Aaron again after a long time. But shortly afterwards, Aaron collapses and is taken to hospital. The doctors suspect that party drugs are the cause of his critical condition. But Dina senses that something else is behind it. When Aaron’s friend Ecki dies with the same symptoms, Dina wants to know the truth. Together with her friends, the anxious computer geek Jason and the hands-on Maike, she gets on the trail of a war between the food company “Panderoche” and the bioactivist group “Ausgefressen”. Apparently, the leader of “Ausgefressen”, Falk Peters, wants to prevent the market launch of a genetically modified tomato that supposedly prevents cancer. He has a powerful enemy in “Panderoche” boss Larissa Sänger. Dina has a terrible suspicion: are the tomatoes, which will be in all supermarkets tomorrow, the cause of the illnesses? Is an epidemic looming? Dina Foxx embarks on a dangerous search for the truth.
