Two celebrity teams played against each other, in which they had to prove their knowledge of everyday culture, coexistence and the history of the GDR and FRG. Each team of three celebrity guests played for an amount of €20,000, the full amount of which went to a good cause.

In the first show, one male and one female team competed against each other. The celebrity men were Günther Jauch, Johannes B. Kerner and Oliver Pocher. The women’s team consisted of Ilse Aigner, Kathrin
Müller-Hohenstein and Nazan Eckes.

The second edition was a partner duel. They competed against each other: Jan Josef Liefers and Anna Loos, as well as Mariella Ahrens and Patrick Graf von Faber-Castell.

The third show was characterized by an East-West duel. On the East side: Henry Maske, Andrea Kiewel and Jens Riewa. On the West team: Norbert Blüm, Gülcan Kamps and Ingo Naujoks.

The Quiz of the Germans was a joint production by GRUNDY Light Entertainment and Ansager und Schnipselmann in Düsseldorf.
