You (m/f/d) are a storyteller, a dreamer and love developing and writing? At the UFA Series Camp, we would like to give you the opportunity to develop a series concept from your basic idea within 23 days and write the first episode.
How is a series concept generally developed? How can you develop your idea into the dramaturgical foundation of a series? And what can the first episodes look like?
You will learn a wide variety of creative techniques and dramaturgy lessons in theory and practice with our experienced lecturer Robert Krause find answers to these questions.
23 days is sporty, but you will see that a high speed unleashes creative potential!
Finally, you will have the opportunity to present your series idea to a selected panel of UFA producers in order to develop it further with us.

About the lecturerRobert Krause works as a director, author and dramaturge. He is also a professor at the University of Television and Film in Munich. As part of the “Screenplay in 23 Days” seminar, he and Florian Puchert have already developed more than 140 books and series concepts.

Requirements for participation
What happens after the application?
We will collect all applications received by November 3, 2019, after which a committee of UFA creatives will select the 6 participants. All applicants will be informed by the beginning of December at the latest.
When and where does the UFA Series Camp take place?
From March 2 to April 3, 2020 at the UFA headquarters in Potsdam-Babelsberg
What does the UFA Series Camp cost me?
Good news: We do not charge a participation fee for the series camp! We will also provide you with drinks and lunch during the workshop days.
However, you will have to pay for your own travel and accommodation.
What happens to my idea/screenplay afterwards?
At the end of the series camp, all participants (m/f/d) will present their idea/screenplay to a panel of UFA producers. With your participation you agree that UFA will receive a so-called “first look”. This means that we will be happy to develop your idea further with you if we are interested.
