We are renaming our diversity area LGBTIQ+ and will use the term “Queer” from now on: Against the backdrop of a constantly evolving spectrum, we want to include all sexual orientations and gender identities in our communication. The diversity section will therefore be called Queer from now on. Queer is a collective term for all people whose gender identity and/or sexual orientation is not bisexual, cisgender and/or heterosexual.
“The special feature of the term is that it does not sharply delineate identities, but that its meaning changes. In this way, we can ensure that we address all people and do not exclude anyone,” emphasizes Tobias Hött, Head of Casting at UFA Show & Factual and sponsor for the diversity area Queer in the UFA Diversity Circle.
The UFA Diversity Circle thus comprises the five focus topics People of Color, Queer, People with Disabilities/Inclusion, Age and Gender.
