Tina and her friends Heike, Kaya and Nadine are between 35 and 40 and are each facing a new beginning in their own way: after 20 years of marriage, their husband leaves for a younger woman, financial difficulties force them to rethink their lives or the long-awaited marriage proposal finally becomes reality. After work, the quartet meets in their regular bistro in the shopping center to catch up and take a deep breath after a hard day’s work. Over coffee, they talk about the big issues in life – whether it’s relationships, love, work or family – but also about amusing encounters and funny events that are just as much a part of life. And between friends, there’s nothing that isn’t worth talking about anyway.
