For example, “Barátok Közt” was the first series on Hungarian television to address discrimination against Sinti and Roma.

“Barátok Közt” was the undisputed number one prime-time series on Hungarian television. The show still regularly achieved market shares of over 30 percent in the target group. One in five Hungarians between the ages of 18 and 49 watched the series regularly. On July 17, 2021, the last episode aired on Hungarian TV after 23 years.
