As part of RTL’s sitcom offensive, the chaotic and funny sitcom “Triple Ex” was filmed in Berlin. UFA FICTION was commissioned by RTL to produce eight episodes about the lovable young mother Anna(Diana Staehly, “Stromberg – Der Film”, “Soko Köln”, “Hanna Hellmann”), who has three children by three different men. The roles of the fathers are played by Frank Maier (“Der Blender”, “Mord mit Aussicht”), Mirco Reseg (“König von Deutschland”, “Einmal Hans mit scharfer Soße”) and Alexander Schubert (“Heute Show”, “…und dann noch Paula”). Susan Hoecke (“Sekretärinnen”, “Vaterfreuden”) is on board as Anna’s sister Marlene.
Marital status: chaos. Anna Holzinger (Diana Staehly) is in her mid-thirties and single. The charming dental assistant is curious, lively and has a rather unconventional approach to life’s daily challenges. And there are plenty of them, because Anna is also a loving mother of three children aged between eight and 15, who come from three different men!
From very different men: Tom (Frank Maier) is a good-humored layabout and womanizer with constantly changing girlfriends and a chronic lack of money. Karl-Friedrich (Mirco Reseg), known as Kafi for short, is noble and now gay. And then there’s Eugen (Alexander Schubert), a picture-book nerd who is still deeply in love with Anna. Each of the three has their own apartment and yet childcare usually takes place within Anna’s four walls. In other words, Anna’s kitchen is always full of family! But also full of problems, chaos and fun. Anna can’t live with the three men, but she can’t live without them either.
Every day, the humorous young woman struggles with the adversities of her everyday life and often stumbles from one weird situation to the next. She is always on the lookout for what most single women with children want: Recognition, a little time for themselves, or simply a date with a hot guy. The family stress is further increased by Anna’s sister Marlene (Susan Hoecke). The successful family therapist hates children and long-term relationships. Instead, she loves sex and shoes. Welcome to chaos, welcome to the life of Anna Holzinger!
Based on an idea by Sigrid Neudecker-von Randow, the eight 30-minute episodes were produced by UFA FICTION in Berlin until the end of September 2016. The producer is Tommy Wosch (“Böse Mädchen”, “Die Wachmänner”), who is also the head writer. The other writer is Dominik Moser. The producer in charge is Katja Bäuerle. The directors are Joseph Orr (“Pastewka”, “Alles Atze”), Jan Markus Linhof (“Pastewka”, “Ladykracher”) and Felix Binder (pilot). The editorial team is headed by Petra Hengge (RTL) under the direction of Philipp Steffens, RTL Head of Fiction.
