Synopsis: Law student Aylin (Aylin Tezel) falls into a clever trap: after receiving an emergency call from her single sister Elif (Pegah Ferydoni), she returns to Berlin and violates the conditions of the witness protection program. LKA investigator Hannah (Suzanne von Borsody), who wants to use Aylin again as an undercover investigator, has been waiting for this mistake. Her successful decoy in the gangster milieu is now to spy on the influential lawyer Engelhardt (Stefan Kurt), whose law firm is involved in illegal money laundering and the financing of terrorist groups.

Hannah’s colleague and ex-son-in-law Jan (Ken Duken) doesn’t think much of his boss’s idea because he can’t resist Aylin’s attraction and thinks the job is a suicide mission. However, the blackmailable informant has no choice but to go along with it. Aylin immediately manages to get Engelhardt’s son Alex (Franz Dinda) interested in her. The sophisticated top lawyer Engelhardt also immediately takes a liking to the young lawyer and offers her a well-paid job in his law firm. While the head of the LKA is thrilled, Jan’s alarm bells start ringing. When Aylin realizes how well informed the well-connected lawyer is about police work, there is no turning back for her, because the police are not the only ones who know how to blackmail Aylin effectively. Now she has to finish the dangerous job – on her own.

“The informant – The Lisbon Case” celebrated its TV premiere on Das Erste on April 13, 2019. The film is available in the ARD Mediathek until July 13, 2019.
