Full-blooded nurse Micki Busch(Caroline Frier) has made it: she has got the job as ward manager in a prestigious hospital and has finally landed her dream job. But after breaking up with her boyfriend Paul, she is kicked out of her apartment and has to move in with the other nurses in the nurses’ hostel.

After initial difficulties, she and the nurses become a well-rehearsed team and her rival and roommate Charly(Anna Julia Antonucci) also turns out to be a potential best friend. The unlikely pair fight relentlessly for the well-being of the patients – and against the tyrannical clinic boss Friedrich Tümmler (Christian Tramitz). In the process, they repeatedly get into dicey and embarrassing situations.

In the course of these adventures, Micki personally grows beyond herself. After breaking up with Paul, she finally has to open herself up to love again, explore the dating world, recognize her own strengths and weaknesses and repeatedly get rid of the ward doctor Dr. Kyrgios (Jasin Challah), who is unhappily in love with her. And the most important thing: convincing her friend Charly not to quit her job.
