11th century: After escaping from Isfahan, the physician Rob Cole and his companions are stranded in his old home of London to spread the light of his medical knowledge. He soon becomes entangled in the intrigues of the royal family and once again has to fight for the lives of his patients, for recognition of his work and against a completely new challenge – the suffering of the human psyche.
