Cologne, June 12, 2026. Before GAME OF KEYS (AT) premieres exclusively on Prime Video this fall, the Prime Original series produced by UFA Fiction celebrated its premiere last Thursday evening at the Seriencamp Festival in Cologne, giving the audience a special preview of the launch and the opportunity to watch the first three episodes now.
Gathered on the red carpet at Cinenova alongside the cast—including Paula Kalenberg, Fridolin Sandmeyer, and Salka Weber— Martin Bruchmann, Mona Pirzad, Eric Cordes, and Lilja van der Zwaag, as well as executive producers Ulrike Leibfried and Sinah Swyter (UFA Fiction), director Sinje Köhler, Marlene Melchior from the writing team, as well as Julia Nisslein, Senior Creative Executive at Amazon MGM Studios, Petra Hengge, Head of German Originals Series at Amazon MGM Studios, and Sascha Schwingel, Managing Director of UFA.
GAME OF KEYS (AT) is based on the hit Mexican series EL JUEGO DE LAS LLAVES. Prime members can look forward to an explosive mix of sensuality, emotion, humor, and depth—exuberant, modern, provocative, and surprisingly honest.
The eight-part series centers on Anna (Paula Kalenberg) and Paul (Fridolin Sandmeyer), who have been together forever, as well as their friends Julie (Salka Weber), Valentin (Martin Bruchmann), Bella (Mona Pirzad), and Leo (Pascal Houdus). Their lives are running smoothly until Samu (Eric Cordes) returns home with his girlfriend Siena (Lilja van der Zwaag) and proposes a daring game to his old clique that pushes all boundaries: Everyone throws their key into a bowl. Whoever draws a key spends the night with the key’s owner. No feelings, no obligations. Just the game.
What begins as an exciting experiment quickly turns into an emotional powder keg. Old longings resurface, and new truths come to light: Nothing remains as it was.
GAME OF KEYS (AT) is produced by UFA Fiction for Prime Video. The executive producers are Ulrike Leibfried and Sinah Swyter. The scripts are written by Vivien Hoppe (head writer), Antonia Rothe-Liermann (head writer), Ben Brooks, and Marlene Melchior. The series is directed by Barbara Kronenberg and Sinje Köhler. Jan-Marcello Kahl and Jieun Yi serve as directors of photography.
