Potsdam, May 17, 2024. MAXTON HALL – THE WORLD BETWEEN US is a global hit on Prime Video. Produced by UFA Fiction, the series achieved the highest global viewership figures for a non-U.S. original title in its first week in the history of Prime Video. Since its launch, the German Original Series has ranked No. 1 on the Prime Video charts in more than 120 countries and territories and No. 3 in over 50 countries and territories, including the U.S., the U.K., Australia, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, and South Africa. Fans around the world are raving about *MAXTON HALL – THE WORLD BETWEEN US*, giving the series a 95% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. The modern love story between James Beaufort (Damian Hardung) and Ruby Bell (Harriet Herbig-Matten) is also currently the most-streamed title on Prime Video in Germany and has held the No. 1 spot on the German Prime Video charts since its launch on May 9.

Prime Video also announced today that the second season of the series has been confirmed, with Damian Hardung and Harriet Herbig-Matten returning in the lead roles as James and Ruby. The new episodes are based on the second installment, “Save You,” of the bestselling novel series by author Mona Kasten and will once again be produced by UFA Fiction. MAXTON HALL – THE WORLD BETWEEN US is available exclusively on Prime Video as part of a Prime membership.

MAXTON HALL – THE WORLD BETWEEN US Season 1 is a UFA Fiction production, an Original German Series for Prime Video. The producers are Ceylan Yildirim and Markus Brunnemann. Valentin Debler is a producer. Martin Schreier (TRAUMFABRIK) and Tarek Roehlinger (EIN AUSNAHMEZUSTAND) directed the series. Daphne Ferraro is the head writer. The writers’ room consisted of Marc Schießer, Marlene Melchior, Zoe Hagen, Nina Rathke, Anna Schimrigk, and Juliana Lima Dehne. Christof Wahl served as director of photography. Isabel von Forster was responsible for production design, Gabriela Reumer for costumes, and Patrick Dreikauss and Emrah Ertem for casting. The series was funded by the German Motion Picture Fund (GMPF).
