High time to ask ourselves who Mr. Pommeroy, Mr. Winterbottom, Sir Toby and Von Schneider actually are and why they are not sitting at the table. And what kind of relationship do Miss Sophie and her butler James have with each other?
MISS SOPHIE – SAME PROCEDURE AS EVERY YEAR, the series prequel to the cult sketch DINNER FOR ONE and previously known under the working title DINNER FOR FIVE, will be available exclusively on Prime Video from 22.12.2025.
The original series will celebrate its premiere at the Munich Film Festival on June 29. In addition to Alicia von Rittberg and Kostja Ullmann, many other well-known German actors also play roles.
The six episodes were filmed in Berlin and Brandenburg.

England, early 20th century – a country estate near Eastbourne. Faced with financial hardship, young Miss Sophie (Alicia von Rittberg) decides to get married and invites marriage candidates to her castle. Before she can make her choice, one of the gentlemen is murdered. Miss Sophie challenges the bachelors to witty competitions for her heart and tries to secretly find the murderer. Always at her side is her butler James (Kostja Ullmann) – and a tender but seemingly impossible romance develops …
