They fought, they trembled, they gave their all – and it paid off. Eight acts relegated their competitors to the back of the pack and reached the final of MY NAME IS on May 20, 2012. They also proved to the jury, consisting of Michelle, Alessandra Pocher and Maarten Steinkamp, that they are the best.
Four acts from each of the “adults” and “children” categories battled it out for victory. In the end, 15-year-old Maria Pasqua Casti and 35-year-old Christian Sander stood on the winners’ podium. The audience had voted by telephone: With the hit “Rolling in the deep”, 15-year-old Maria, alias Adele, won across the board. Among the adults, Christian and his band Weißglut aka Rammstein won the most votes. The 35-year-old got the crowd going with “Feuer frei”. The two finalists had previously beaten off stiff competition in the auditions and the knockout round.
Maria and Christian win a performance at a famous impersonation show at the Hotel Estrel Berlin. Christian will also receive a trip to Las Vegas and participation in an impersonation convention as a gift. Maria can look forward to a training voucher for professional coaching.
