FAMILIEN DUELL (original title)

UFA SHOW & FACTUAL GmbH • Show • RTL plus

From October 9, RTLplus will be showing the third season of the new edition of FAMILIEN DUELL. The show will be presented by Inka Bause, best known and loved as the presenter of the successful docusoap BAUER SUCHT FRAU. The game show is shown Mondays to Fridays at 7 pm.

The game principle invites you to guess along, is exciting, always surprising and often hilarious. Two families, each with five members, compete against each other, with one person acting as the family spokesperson. In a relaxed chat with Inka Bause, you get to know the family members and their special stories or quirks.

The task is to find the most common answers to the questions previously asked of 100 people. For example: We asked 100 people…Name a German city with a K! Name a word that rhymes with crap! Name one thing a woman never leaves the house without! etc. The points hidden behind each answer are determined by how often it was given by the 100 respondents. The top answer is always the answer with the highest number of points. The duel between the families lasts a total of four rounds. The family that has scored the most points after the fourth round goes through to the final, plays for the daily prize of 3,000 euros and competes as champion against new challengers in the next episode of FAMILIEN DUELL. If a family manages to reach the final five times in a row, they play for the main prize of 30,000 euros.

FAMILIEN DUELL started on January 26, 1992 on RTLplus, which later became RTL Television. The last edition of FAMILIEN DUELL aired on RTL on October 10, 2003. The game show was hosted by Werner Schulze-Erdel at the time. From 2013 to 2014, Daniel Hartwich hosted a new edition on RTL in the form of a primetime celebrity special. More than 8,000 episodes of the US original FAMILY FEUD, which started in 1976, have already been broadcast in America. FAMILY FEUD is a worldwide success and has been shown in 63 countries around the world, including Canada, France, Portugal, the UK, Mexico, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Bulgaria, Norway and Japan. In 2016, current versions of FAMILY FEUD are running in 20 countries worldwide, including the USA, Croatia, Slovakia, Vietnam, Russia, the Netherlands and Australia.
