UFERPARK – GUTE ZEITEN, WILDE ZEITEN (original title)

In May, filming began in Berlin for the new live-action series UFERPARK – GUTE ZEITEN, WILDE ZEITEN. The 26 episodes focus on a group of friends and the fight for their very own “safe space”: an abandoned skate park not far from the neighborhood known from Germany’s most successful RTL daily GUTE ZEITEN, SCHLECHTE ZEITEN.

Markus Brunnemann, Managing Director of UFA Serial Drama: “A live-action series for kids is always a special challenge for everyone involved. I am particularly pleased for Helga Löbel and her team about this great opportunity and wish them all every success. My thanks go to my colleagues at SUPER RTL and RTL+ for their trust in us.”

Helga Löbel, producer of UFA Serial Drama and spokesperson for the Kids & Family working group at the Bertelsmann Content Alliance: “We are delighted that our new kids’ series has been commissioned. It is so important to give children more space and to make their voices heard. They are rarely given center stage in society and on television – even though they are our future! There are not many opportunities in Germany to produce original live action for kids. At UFA, we have been trying to offer kids and young adults content for years. RTL has also been committed to children for years, just look at the RTL telethon and the fictional programs. We are incredibly proud that SUPER RTL and RTL+ have so much confidence in us here and that they themselves are on fire for the program. ”

Thorsten Braun, CEO SUPER RTL: “The production of a new live-action series in the GOOD TIMES, BAD TIMES cosmos is something very special for SUPER RTL. Together with RTL+ and UFA, we want to create a series that benefits from the enormous appeal of the GZSZ brand and is aimed specifically at slightly older kids with topics such as sport, music and first love. We think it’s great that, following the successful launch of WOOZLE – DIE SERIE, we can get another, self-produced fiction format off the ground.”

Young talents have been recruited for the cast, who can demonstrate their very own skills at UFERPARK: They rap, sing and throw themselves off the highest ramps on their skateboards.

The main cast is rounded off by six up-and-coming talents and a quartet of experienced actors: Actor, cabaret artist and dubbing artist Wolfgang Bahro, Germany’s ultimate villain and the most prominent face from the GSZS cosmos, has been recruited for UFERPARK – GUTE ZEITEN, WILDE ZEITEN. This gives GZSZ, Germany’s successful cult series, a spin-off for the younger audience. Alongside Wolfgang Bahro, Martin Bretschneider, Andrea Cleven and Ilona Schulz complete the ensemble.

In the middle of Berlin, teenagers Amina, Yunis, Lea, Pepe and Milo conquer an old skate park for themselves. The friends are a tight-knit clique that goes through thick and thin together and struggles with the problems of growing up: Amina is caught between her best friend Yunis and the opaque Ben, whose crew is constantly causing stress in the neighborhood. Lea questions her professional career as a skater, Milo wants to find his own way in music, and Pepe demonstrates unexpected managerial qualities. Together, the group develops the unconditional will to defend “their” skate park against all odds. And so together they stand up for their place in society, for togetherness and for themselves as a group.

Amina (Tanaz Molaei) is the girl with the beanie, cap or hood and a fantastic voice, but not even her best friends know about it. She has to learn to recognize her true feelings and dare to show them to the world. At first, she feels attracted to the reliable Yunis. But then she realizes that Ben also triggers something very special in her.

Yunis (Victor Bass) is reliable and always a safe bet in the crew. When he promises something, he keeps it! His great passion is rapping, even if he sometimes struggles with the lyrics. Yunis is madly in love with Amina – but he also knows that he has to be careful, because Amina is terrified of getting hurt.

Ben (Salimou Thiam) actually belongs to a different clique. But when he approaches Amina at the graffiti wall, he has to decide whether to turn against his old friends. Even at the risk of losing everything he has ever had…

Lea (Maja Merkord) may not wear the most casual and hip skate outfits – but on the ramp she is the coolest ever and very happy and at peace with herself. That all changes when she joins the team of professional skaters. Is this really the right thing for her?

Pepe (Konrad Neidhardt) sees himself as the future greatest manager of all time. With his anarchic to megalomaniacal dreams, he sometimes overshoots the mark. But even when things go wrong, Pepe always has a new plan up his sleeve.

Milo (Jesse Beyerling) is the smallest and slimmest of the crew, a clever mind and musical genius. If his parents had their way, he would soon be making a career as a star flautist. But when Milo threatens to break under the pressure, he realizes that fat beats and cool tunes are actually much more his thing.
