Mordach lives from a long-established relationship between all forces – between the long-established, the seasons, the God-given rules. A whole generation thinks that only the toughest survive and lets the following generations feel it. The murder of Lisa Glauber shatters the intact world of the close-knit community. The fact that the experienced mountain hunter – with a bullet in her chest and surrounded by a circle of blood in the snow – is found at the old witches’ place causes a hate-filled uproar. While the vengeful villagers turn their attention to the outsider Bastian Montag, who is found unconscious near the crime scene, police chief Toni Brandner follows other leads. The victim had bitter legal disputes with her ex-husband Daniel Glauber and his father Maximilian. When the two businessmen find themselves in trouble, their arch-rival Jakob Brunner wants to take advantage of the situation. The village godfather, who has a criminal record, makes Toni an offer that may help her with the case, but could also cost her her job. While the village’s rotten web of friendships, dependencies and business relationships is torn apart, Toni takes a risky path to uncover a murderous intrigue and the truth about Lisa’s death.
Rebecca Schröder-Witscherkowsky, Executive Producer UFA Fiction: “There is still so much hidden in MORDACH, which is why we were delighted to return to South Tyrol for the new part. Shooting at such a high altitude presents a number of challenges and the rapidly changing weather conditions in particular require a high degree of flexibility from cast and crew. But the unique rugged nature is also what makes MORDACH so special and Roland Suso Richter has once again staged this mystical backdrop magnificently.”
Once again, Roland Suso Richter is directing. Alongside Sarah Bauerett, who will once again be seen as police chief Toni Brandner, Max Wagner, Ina Paule Klink, Anton Spieker, Kristina Pauls, David Zimmerschied, Siemen Rühaak, Sebastian Weiss and Harald Krassnitzer are among the high-caliber cast in front of Max Knauer’s camera.
