The series event as a feature film will be broadcast on February 15 at 8:15 p.m. on RTL, so both GZSZ fans and all other viewers will get their money’s worth with a unique and self-contained story.
This evening, GZSZ stars Susan Sideropoulos and Daniel Fehlow are finally celebrating their long-awaited comeback together on TV. Germany’s two series favorites are finally reunited on TV screens after more than ten years!
Filming took place on the Baltic Sea island of Rügen in September and October 2021.

Susan Sideropoulos plays a double role in LEON – GLAUB NICHT ALLES, WAS DU SIEHST: Verena Koch and now Sarah Elsässer, born and raised in Engelshoop, the fictional setting of the series. The character of the vivacious Verena Koch was an integral part of GZSZ from February 2001 until her tragic death in summer 2011. Now she is also making a reappearance. Viewers can be excited. Leon Moreno, a well-known GZSZ face played by Daniel Fehlow, dares to make a new start on the Baltic Sea in this spin-off.
The cast also includes Frederic Heidorn, Kathrin Osterode, Adrian Spielbauer, Amelie Arndt, Arne-Carlos Böttcher, Carmela A. C. Bonomi, Tim Olrik Stöneberg and Joey Altmann.

Leon fulfills his dream of owning his own restaurant by the sea and moves with his son Oskar from Berlin to the kitesurfing resort of Engelshoop on the Baltic Sea. But the new start is accompanied by strange events: Leon finds a photo of his wife Verena, who died many years ago, in his new house. Oskar also believes he has observed a woman with his drone who looks very similar to his biological mother. When Leon suddenly comes face to face with the woman, it pulls the rug from under his feet: who is she? Sarah’s first encounter with Leon is also a shock. She feels persecuted, having only just fled from Portugal to her home town to escape a stalker. She wants to find peace on the island. However, her initial doubts about Leon quickly fade. The two get to know each other and fall in love. While memories and reality become increasingly blurred for Leon, he fails to tell Sarah the truth about her resemblance to his dead wife. Little does he know that he will end up in the crosshairs of the police…

The head writer is Cecilia Malmström. The director is Klaus Knoesel. The executive producer on the RTL side is Christiane Ghosh, the editor is Christina Pachutzki. The series will also be shown in UHD HDR on RTL UHD.
The eight-part series will be available as a box set on RTL+ from January 31.
