Heike Hempel, Deputy Program Director and Head of Editorial Television Film/Series II ZDF: “KU’DAMM 56 and 59 told the story of what it meant to be a woman in Germany not so long ago. With this serial narrative, Annette Hess has managed to create a cosmos at eye level with the main female characters in an exciting and entertaining way that has brought together all generations and both men and women in front of the screen. We look forward to continuing the family story of the Schöllack dance school with KU’DAMM 63 and watching Caterina Schöllack and her three daughters find their place in Berlin society in the early 60s.”
Benjamin Benedict, producer and managing director of UFA FICTION: “I am delighted that the core team of our KU’DAMM series will remain in place for the third season and that we can continue to tell the multi-layered and highly emotional story of our Schöllack family together with Annette Hess and our ZDF colleagues Heike Hempel, Bastian Wagner and Beate Bramstedt. With Marc Terjung, we have also gained an inspiring new head writer for our sequel and are equally proud that we will be working with award-winning director Sabine Bernardi for the first time for season three.”
