The new school year brings Ralph Friesner a colorful bouquet of students who couldn’t be more different: There is Walter (Hans-Martin Stier), a convinced singer-songwriter who still dreams of a great career as a musician, even though he has long been on the streets. Or Sandra (Cosima Henman), who is only on probation for various violent crimes and is always accompanied by her snappy dog. She is also the first to clash with the arrogant high school snob Philip (Anselm Bresgott) after moving into the new educational center – chaos is inevitable.

Ralph therefore has his hands full trying to get his pupils to graduate. The modern, innovative school really gets on his nerves, even though his domineering boss Dörte Wiedebusch (Aglaia Szyszkowitz) is convinced by the concept. Ralph quickly suspects that there is something fishy about the educational center and its fine director Van de Veede (Stephan Kampwirth) – the selection process and move went suspiciously smoothly.

Without further ado, he gets to the bottom of the matter. In doing so, he not only puts his job at risk, but also Dörte’s trust. Even though he would prefer to get on better with her in private too…
