Hast du Worte!? (original title)

UFA SHOW & FACTUAL GmbH • Show • Sat.1 • 1996-1999

Speed, eloquence and cleverness were prerequisites for the game show Hast du Worte!?

In 1996, “Hast Du Worte!” with Jörg Pilawa was launched on SAT.1. In 1997, Thomas Koschwitz took over the show until mid-1999.

The candidates on the game show not only had the support of the presenter, but also celebrity help. Stars from the music and TV scene competed against each other in a quick game of words. They wanted to achieve the highest possible winnings through clever descriptions and quick guessing.

Using gestures and noises, the two pairs of candidates first had to paraphrase terms and words so that their partner could guess them. Speed, eloquence and cleverness were required. The pair of candidates who had guessed the most terms after the first preliminary round and scored the highest number of points played for DM 5,000 in the first final.

For the second preliminary round, the celebrities changed their playing partners and this time it was all about making it to the second final. If the opposing team achieved the higher number of points, this team played again for DM 5,000. However, if the winning team from the first round reached the final again, this time they played for DM 10,000. In total, a contestant could take part in Hast Du Worte! a maximum of five times.
