The boarding school adventures of "Hanni & Nanni" return to the big screen with a new look: new discoveries Laila and Rosa Meinecke take on the leading roles of the popular twins for the first time.
“Hanni and Nanni – More than best friends” was filmed by UFA FICTION in Berlin, Brandenburg and Saxony-Anhalt until mid-September 2016. In addition to various locations in Berlin, filming locations included Wansdorf Castle in Havelland, Ganz Castle in Kyritz northwest of Berlin, the Brandenburg State Stud in Neustadt and the baroque castle Burgscheidungen.

“Hanni and Nanni” is a production of UFA Fiction in co-production with Feine Filme, funded by Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung, the German Federal Film Board and the German Federal Film Fund DFFF and will be released in cinemas in Germany, Austria and Switzerland by Universal Pictures International Germany. The theatrical release is planned for spring 2017.
