Geh aufs Ganze! (original title)

Geh aufs Ganze! was the German version of the US game show Let's Make a Deal and was produced from 1992 to 2003.

The presenters were Jörg Draeger and, for a short time, Elmar Hörig.

Go all out! offered all studio guests the chance to gamble with the presenter for hidden prizes. The aim was to decide on the right box, the right envelope or the right goal. The presenter repeatedly tried to unsettle his contestants in their decisions and often offered them large sums of cash in exchange for the chosen, but still hidden, item.

The central figure was always the Zonk, the loser. This fiery red plush figure stood for the loss of the prize, or for a lost game, but also acted as a lovable consolation. It was presented to the candidates by the likeable Simone Dericks.

The highlight of every show on Geh aufs Ganze! was the so-called “Big Deal”. The candidates who had previously won their game could now “go all out” again in the “Big Deal”. In order of the value of their prizes, they were now asked whether they would be prepared to risk what they had already won again.

For the candidate who decided to take the risk, it was then a case of “which goal will you choose, goal 1, 2 or 3?” for the last time. Always in the knowledge that the previously won prize was lost in any case. Behind the goals were a Zonk, a high-quality second prize and the mega main prize, the so-called “Big Deal”. If the contestant chose the goal with the “Big Deal”, they were playing for all or nothing with a 50:50 chance.
