From October 6, 2008, the first 20 episodes of the three-minute show went online daily on the high-reach internet portals of bild.de and welt.de as well as on wissen.de and sevenload.de.

The art historian, science journalist and author managed the balancing act between entertaining anecdotes and historical data.

Dr. Ankos 365 was one of the first online formats to be used by different portals at the same time. The four portals had their core competencies in the different areas of entertainment, news, general education and knowledge and thus all offered a suitable platform for Dr. Ankos 365.
