Your questions!

Q: What if I, as a filmmaker, have an idea but am not an author?

A: Then you can still submit your idea. If you win, the next step will be to discuss the role in which you can continue to support your project.

Q: How do we define filmmakers?

A: All people who have professional experience in the field of audiovisual media in front of or behind the camera.

Q: Do all participants who submit a series idea have to be 50 years or older?

A: All participants must be 50 years or older, as the story should come from the world of this generation. It is important that the story is told authentically and from the perspective of this age group.

Q: What happens after a winner has been selected?

A: You get your prize money and we get the right to negotiate with you open-endedly about how we can further develop your material together.

Q: Are there any conditions attached to the prize money?

A: No. But it would be nice if, as a next step, we could talk about how to proceed. Any further collaboration to develop your material requires a contract between us and an agreement regarding e.g. rights, collaboration and remuneration.

Q: Why is this competition only aimed at people aged 50 and over?

A: The competition is aimed exclusively at people aged 50 and over because it specifically wants to focus on the experiences, perspectives and stories of this age group. This phase of life often brings with it unique experiences and wisdom that are worth hearing and sharing.

By focusing on the over-50 target group, the competition aims to create an authentic and diverse collection of experiences and thoughts that come specifically from the world of this generation. In this way, the competition becomes a space in which the experiences and voices of older people are given special recognition.
