Florian Reick on his training as an audiovisual media specialist at UFA Serial Drama:

The commercial training for audiovisual media at UFA Serial Drama is characterized above all by its diversity. During a regular training period of three years, you have the opportunity to get to know the most diverse areas of a TV production. It is particularly important to UFA and the trainers to respond to the wishes of the trainees and to provide a more intensive insight into the desired departments. But the commercial departments are not the only training stations at UFA Serial Drama. A detailed insight into the series production of one of our dramas, for example “Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten”, is also part of the training. An assignment in the UFA Show & Factual unit can also be part of the training if desired.

You will get to know the following departments/training stations during your training: set production management, scheduling, production assistance, script coordination, script continuity, human resources, accounting/film management and much more. Vocational school usually takes place at intervals of 12 weeks at the company and 8-10 weeks at vocational school.
