Potsdam, 19. April 2024. Welcome to Maxton Hall Private College! Prime Video has released the official trailer for MAXTON HALL – THE WORLD BETWEEN US, taking viewers into the world of Ruby (Harriet Herbig-Matten) and James (Damian Hardung). The German original series is based on the award-winning best-selling novel “Save Me” by author Mona Kasten. Produced by UFA Fiction, this original series tells a modern love story between James Beaufort, a boy from the upper class, and Ruby Bell, a girl from the working class, set in a world full of glamour, prestige, secrets, and drama. All six episodes will be available exclusively on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories worldwide starting May 9.

About the Story: When Ruby Bell unwittingly becomes a witness to a scandalous secret at Maxton Hall Private College, the arrogant millionaire heir James Beaufort has no choice but to deal with the quick-witted scholarship student. From then on, the handsome student tries to buy Ruby’s silence. And even though the two come from different worlds, they’ll soon risk everything to be together …
Martin Schreier (TRAUMFABRIK) and Tarek Roehlinger (EIN AUSNAHMEZUSTAND) directed MAXTON HALL – THE WORLD BETWEEN US. The lead roles are played by Harriet Herbig-Matten (BIBI & TINA: JUST DIFFERENT) as Ruby and Damian Hardung (CLUB OF THE RED RIBBONS) as James. Other roles are played by, among others, Sonja Weißer (TATORT) as Lydia, Ben Felipe (DER PASS) as Cyril, Fedja van Huêt (SPEAK NO EVIL) as Mortimer, Runa Greiner (FACK JU GÖHTE) as Ember, Justus Riesner (LOVING HER) as Alistair Ellington, Clelia Sarto (HERZSTOLPERN) as Cordelia Beaufort, Andrea Guo (DER SCHWARM) as Lin Wang, and Eidin Jalali (DER SCHWARM) as Graham Sutton.
MAXTON HALL – THE WORLD BETWEEN US is a UFA Fiction production, an original German series for Prime Video. The producers are Ceylan Yildirim and Markus Brunnemann. Valentin Debler is the producer. Daphne Ferraro is the head writer. The writers’ room consisted of Marc Schießer, Marlene Melchior, Zoe Hagen, Nina Rathke, Anna Schimrigk, and Juliana Lima Dehne. Christof Wahl served as director. Isabel von Forster was responsible for production design, Gabriela Reumer for costumes, and Patrick Dreikauss and Emrah Ertem for casting.
