“Legends of Comedy” is the first time travel through German comedy history on TV, hosted by Mario Barth. In each show, comedy heavyweights and prominent comedy fans give the starting signal for a very special evening: they select their personal favorite numbers from German comedy history, which are then exclusively performed live once again by the original artists.

Each selected act is placed in the context of its time: short funny clips delve into the years of the comedy hits – from music and fashion to social issues. Exclusive archive material shows excerpts from the original programs, while personal stories of the comedy legends illustrate the emotional connection to the acts.
