Potsdam, November 18, 2025: Following the great success of the first three seasons, the story of the Schöllack family at the Galant dance school on Kurfürstendamm in the turbulent late 1970s in Berlin will now be continued. The three episodes of the event series will be shown on January 12, 13 and 14, 2026 at 8.15 pm on ZDF. They can already be seen on ZDF streaming from December 27, 2025.

Berlin 1977: The apartment above the dance school now offers space for three generations: sisters Monika (Sonja Gerhardt) and Helga (Maria Ehrich), their almost grown-up daughters Dorli (Carlotta Bähre) and Friederike (Marie Louise Albertine Becker) as well as mother and grandmother Caterina (Claudia Michelsen). Only Eva (Emilia Schüle), the third sister, is initially “abroad”, as her prison stay is described, for a longer period of time. But her release is approaching and Eva begins to plan her future in the art trade. Monika trains her daughter Dorli, who is a talented ballroom dancer and has a great future ahead of her. But the pressure to perform becomes increasingly difficult for Dorli and she slowly slips into the drug scene. Monika herself rediscovers her love of music through street musician Sharif (Aziz Dyab) and her encounter with Friederike’s teacher Robert Beck (Sabin Tambrea) opens a new chapter in her relationship with men. Mother Caterina claims to no longer interfere, but she is the eminence grise of the family and dance school, even though Helga officially runs the business. When the dance school is threatened with foreclosure, Caterina sees her life’s work in danger. Helga has inwardly given up on love after Wolfgang (August Wittgenstein) leaves for the East. But then she meets Hannes (Florian Stetter), a dentist from Dahlem. Daughter Friederike eyes the new love with skepticism and Hannes soon shows his dark side. The family events are accompanied by the young journalist Linda Müller (Massiamy Diaby), who is filming a documentary about the traditional Galant company for a TV station – although she is also pursuing a very personal agenda.

KU’DAMM 77 is a production by UFA Fiction on behalf of ZDF. The producers are Marc Lepetit, Nico Hofmann and Markus Brunnemann. Annette Hess is the writer and showrunner, the director is Maurice Hübner and Michael Schreitel is once again responsible for the camera. Heike Hempel, Bastian Wagner and Beate Bramstedt are responsible for editing on ZDF. The new season will be available on the ZDF streaming portal from December 27 and will be broadcast on ZDF on January 12, 13 and 14, 2026 at 8.15 pm.
