It is a difficult undertaking for young families to renovate a house and create a cozy home. But for some families it is unexpectedly made impossible. They fall on hard times through no fault of their own, through illness or accident, and are forced to give up their dream of a place to feel at home.

This is where interior designer Eva Brenner and architect John Kosmalla help: together with 12 craftsmen and a site manager, they manage the ambitious project of converting the house in just 8 days. This was only possible because everyone worked hand in hand. It is very important to the architects that the renovation is not superficial, but sustainable. Under enormous time pressure, the team succeeds in transforming the house from a dump into a palace from the ground up, completed by Eva Brenner’s keen sense of interior design.

The family is never left out, as lovingly planned activities give them a little break from everyday life.
