The shower is dripping. The lamp is crooked again and the kitchen could do with a general overhaul. Luckily there’s the husband in the house. Think again! It’s much easier for him to reach into the beer crate than the toolbox.
“Help! Something’s wrong here, it’s my husband”, think many women and now launch a counter-attack in the new documentary with presenter Janine Kunze. But how does a man react when someone else suddenly comes to his wife’s rescue? Out of the comfort zone and into the toolbox. Where they used to just wearily wave everything off from the couch, men are now really challenged. Because in the new documentary HEIMWERKER AUS DEM HÄUSCHEN, the husbands have to show what they can do with their hands. Presenter Janine Kunze introduces two wives and their families who have had things to do around the house for many months, but nothing is happening. And they have tried everything to motivate their partners.
Janine Kunze will surprise the two unsuspecting men and drag them straight out of their lazy corner. Because comfort is over now, Angela and Maria have had enough! The two of them borrow each other’s men in the hope that things will improve. Angela’s husband Frank joins Maria’s family for a week. In return, her husband Michael moves in with Angela. Here they have to prove that they can be real handymen. Where they have otherwise criminally neglected their duties, they are now challenged. And under the critical eye of a new family. And then, of course, there is this one thought: What is the other man doing in my house? At the end, the wives and their husbands draw a conclusion. What was it like in the other family? Were the husbands able to get rid of their workaholism for good?
HEIMWERKER AUS DEM HÄUSCHEN is a production of UFA SHOW & FACTUAL on behalf of RTL.
