Vanessa Schmit is Managing Director of UFA Show & Factual GmbH.

Vanessa Schmit is an experienced TV producer and was Executive Director at RTL Studios for three and a half years before joining UFA on July 1, 2025. Under her leadership, successful formats such as “Ex on the Beach”, “Are you the One” and “Stranger Sins” were produced. Previously, the reality expert was responsible for “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette”, among others, as an executive producer at Warner Bros. From 2009 to 2019, Vanessa Schmit worked for the successful RTL format “Ich bin ein Star, holt mich hier raus!” as a show/edit producer at ITV. Vanessa Schmit also has many years of expertise in the factual sector and has worked on “Goodbye Deutschland”, “Super Nanny” and “Big Brother” (seasons 5 and 7), among others. Vanessa Schmit started her career in the media business at Endemol.
