Philipp Driessen is a lawyer and has many years of experience in national and international co-productions, film financing and rights trading. Since 2016, he has been Managing Director of UFA Distribution, which is responsible for the distribution and packaging of fictional programs within the UFA Group, together with Sebastian Werninger.
His projects include feature films such as DER MEDICUS, HANNI & NANNI 1-4, ICH BIN DANN MAL WEG, DER JUNGE MUSS AN DIE FRISCHE LUFT and ICH WAR NOCH NIEMALS IN NEW YORK, as well as high-end drama productions such as UNSERE MÜTTER, UNSERE VÄTER, DEUTSCHLAND 83/86, THE SAME SKY, CHARITÉ, KU’DAMM 56 & 59 or currently the final season of DEUTSCHLAND89 and preparations for the sequel to DER MEDICUS.
As Director Business Affairs at UFA, he is also responsible for all business-relevant topics in the area of high-end drama and theatrical film production and in this function also takes care of the continuous exchange with the UFA shareholders Fremantle and RTL Group.
