Every week, previously undiscovered piano artists are invited to not only showcase their musical talent at publicly installed pianos in four different German cities – Leipzig, Berlin, Karlsruhe and Münster – but also to share their stories about Germany’s most popular instrument with the audience. The pianists’ musical repertoire ranges from classical to pop, from four-handed performances to pieces with vocal accompaniment. The highlight: what the pianists don’t know is that they are being closely watched by two celebrated stars of the music scene, Igor Levit and Mark Forster.
But that’s not all: Igor Levit and Mark Forster are planning an exclusive premiere. The two stars are organizing a big final concert in the Historische Stadthalle in Wuppertal and inviting one pianist from each city to play their pieces in front of a large audience for the first time. A real premiere full of emotion, goosebumps and love of music!
