In the baking show TORTENSCHLACHT – WER BACKT AM BESTEN? produced by UFA SHOW & FACTUAL, four amateur bakers will once again compete against each other in each episode. In five new episodes, baking book author Ruth Moschner and patissier Matthias Ludwigs will once again judge the candidates’ sweet baking creations. CAKE BATTLE – WHO BAKES THE BEST? has achieved a market share of up to 8.3 percent among viewers aged 14 to 59 in the past.

This time, in addition to sweet classics, there will also be Christmas treats: whether vanilla crescents, gingerbread, Christmas stollen or cinnamon stars – the Tortenschlacht contestants have to prove their sweet skills and face the expert judgment of presenter and baking book author Ruth Moschner and patissier and “TörtchenTörtchen” co-owner Matthias Ludwigs. The two not only pay attention to the taste, but also to the creativity and appearance of the baked creations.

In each of the first four episodes, four amateur bakers have to prove themselves in two baking challenges. However, not all four candidates make it through – one amateur baker has to leave with the “weakest” cake in each episode. The most talented person in each episode receives a prize of 1,000 euros.

In the fifth episode of the baking show, the four individual winners from the previous weeks will once again compete against each other in the ultimate baking challenge. Whoever bakes their way to the top of the crème de la crème of amateur bakers in Germany in episode five will not only be the winner of the TORTENSCHLACHT, but will also receive an additional €3,000 in prize money on top of the €1,000 already won.
