Two northern German cities competed against each other in an exciting contest on NDR television in Stadt gegen Land – Das Wissensduell. A small town in northern Germany against a large city in northern Germany.

Where is the smartest city in the north? In a direct duel between the participants, it was all about general knowledge, memory skills, knowledge of the north, enjoyment of the game and much more. Each city was represented by a team of three players. The winning team won 20,000 euros for a good cause in their town.
