You are drowning in chaos and need the help of experts: In Raus damit! Ways out of the chaos, three families, two singles and a flat-sharing community were helped in their fight against the clutter.
To create order, the“Out with it!” team turned the entire household upside down: those affected were only allowed to keep what they needed to live. The rest was thrown out, either in the bulky waste or sold.
Two experts were on hand to help those affected during the clean-up: a psychologist, Petra Jagow, helped them to get their everyday lives back under control, while an interior designer, Stefan Möller, organized and redesigned the apartment without relying too much on merely decorative effects. After all, the residents should feel comfortable afterwards.
The big clear-out lasted four days. First, the two experts took a look at the household and tried to find out how the mess had arisen by talking to the residents. Because only those who know the causes of the chaos can change their behavior in the future. The next day, the“Out with it!” team cleared all the household items into the garden. Those affected now had to make a decision: Bulky waste, flea market, Ebay or back into the house? The “Out with it!” team now began to reorganize the apartment. Interior designer Stefan Möller selected furniture, fabrics and accessories for the apartment and the residents sold the items they had sorted out. On the fourth day, the moment of truth arrived: the “Chaoten” entered their new home. The first step towards a new beginning had been taken.
