Disney is celebrating its 100th anniversary – and UFA Show & Factual, together with RTL, is looking back at the most magical moments of the past century! In DISNEY100 – DIE GROSSE JUBILÄUMSSHOW, viewers can expect a journey through 100 years of Disney history full of classic films, touching songs and musicals that have inspired generations all over the world. Hosted by Thomas Gottschalk and Victoria Swarovski, the gala evening promises to be a unique experience for viewers, as the show will only be shown once on Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 8:15 p.m. exclusively on RTL.

What began with a man and a cheerful whistling mouse has been touching the hearts of young and old for 100 years. In her time machine, Victoria Swarovski takes the audience on a journey through the decades of Disney history – starting with Walt Disney and his invention of the most famous mouse in film history, through the first animated film “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” and animal classics such as “101 Dalmatians”, Pixar films such as “Finding Nemo” to blockbusters such as “Pirates of the Caribbean” or “Avatar: The Way of Water”. Also celebrated are the brands of the extended Disney family such as Star Wars and MARVEL through to the latest remakes such as “Ariel the Mermaid”.

Thomas Gottschalk’s guests on the show sofa are Giovanni Zarrella, Motsi Mabuse, Michael Bully Herbig, Riccardo Simonetti and Palina Rojinski. Of course, Mickey and Minnie Mouse will also be guests of honor.

Numerous musical acts will also be performing live on stage – from Yvonne Catterfeld and Tom Beck with “Beauty and the Beast”, to Alexander Klaws with “Dir gehört mein Herz” from “Tarzan” and Sasha and little Julius with “Probier’s mal mit Gemütlichkeit” from “The Jungle Book”, to Ice Queen Elsa alias Willemijn Verkaik with “Lass jetzt los” from “Disney’s The Ice Queen – The Musical”. The audience can also look forward to a performance from the musical “Hercules” by Disney and Stage Entertainment, which will celebrate its world premiere in Hamburg in March 2024. Another highlight of the anniversary show will be Giovanni Zarrella’s interpretation of “Circle of Life” from “The Lion King”.
