They are young, have no education, but are in debt because they are living beyond their means. And: they have not yet been able to gain a foothold in the world of work or have never really worked. But that’s all over now!

In THE HARDEST JOBS IN THE WORLD, a total of ten young adults between the ages of 18 and 28 are given the chance to earn enough money within three weeks by working hard so that they can finally regain their financial footing at home. But the jobs are tough: they have to pick intestines out of fish carcasses on the high seas, heave kilogramme sacks full of oysters while standing knee-deep in mud, clean skyscraper windows at dizzying heights and shear sheep in New Zealand on a piecework basis.

DIE HÄRTESTEN JOBS DER WELT is a production of UFA SHOW & FACTUAL and will be broadcast on kabel eins every Tuesday at 8:15 p.m. starting February 2.
